Ta-Da! Our book club selection is Julia Cameron’s beloved Creativity book “Walking in this World – The Practical Art of Creativity.” And the Book Club Registration Link to sign up is now live!
If you’re looking to connect with your creativity and get back a sense of energy & vitality, you will love this book. The exercises in the book are really playful and fun. For example: Julia recommends that we do a solo “artist’s date” every week where we take our inner creative youngster out on an expedition of fun & adventure.
You might go to an aquarium, listen to music that reminds you of your childhood, taste ice-cream flavors at home, or do anything else that would make your 10-year-old-self feel a sense of delight.
One of the big thoughts behind this book is that creative play is essential to creativity.
Whether you are an aspiring writer, painter, designer (or some more steps ahead in your creative path) OR if you simply want to give yourself permission to live a more creative, juicy life, this book is a beautiful bridge right into the heart of our authentic desires.
We will go at a gentle pace as we read this book.
Our first book club meeting will be on September 19 on Zoom and we will have 3 monthly meetings. (Sep-Nov, every third Tuesday of the month, from 5 pm-6:30 pm Pacific time.)
Book Club Dates and Schedule:
Sep 19: Introduction + Chapters 1-4
Oct 17: Chapters 5-8
Nov 21: Chapters 9-12
If you scroll down on the registration page, there are FAQs answered there.
I hope to see you there 🙂
With love,
Ritu
P.S. All Zoom meetings will be recorded and shared afterwards, so in case you can’t make it live on some date, you won’t miss out.
