In our culture, we often talk about the importance of saying no & setting psychological boundaries. But we don’t often talk about how actually saying that no can feel REALLY hard, especially if we tend to absorb other people’s feelings.
Even if we intellectually understand the need for boundaries, when we try setting them, we might feel confused. We might find it easier to tune into what others want, and MUCH harder to tune into our own self. Or if we do say no, we might feel the pressure to cave in if other people’s anger energetically hits us.
This is where energetic boundaries come in.

What are energetic boundaries and why are they so essential for highly sensitive people?
First of all, energetic boundaries are important for EVERYONE. We all need them.
But they are a breakthrough skill for sensitives to learn since we’re so attuned to other people’s moods and feelings that, sometimes, they can feel louder than our own feelings. This is why boundary-setting can feel so tricky & why we might dread doing it.

We will talk about these and MORE energetic skills in this experiential talk. You’ll especially enjoy it if:
1. You find it REALLY easy to tune into others, their needs & their expectations but really hard to tune into what you want.
2. You tend to feel other people’s feelings in your own body.
3. You’re getting overwhelmed by all the energy that seems to be rushing at you.
4. You’re getting drained & finding it hard to fill up on energy, almost as if you’re a battery that isn’t able to charge.
5. You’re having recurring thoughts of “I wish I could just escape into my mind.”
If energetic skills are so important, why don’t we learn them as children?
Energetic skills are not NEW skills. In fact, they are ancient.
They are embedded in many practices like Yoga and Qigong. But unfortunately, most of us don’t learn them as children. Like learning how to handle money, energetic skills are a skill that we learn only later on in life, if we’re lucky.
As a sensitive person, you might have encountered a few energetic skills already, but not understood them in an interconnected way because that context isn’t often given. In this talk, we will talk about energetic skills in a holistic way. We will also discuss why these practices might NOT have worked for you in the past.
