I did a post recently sharing some links to coaches & therapists who work specifically with HSPs. I thought I would do another similar post. After all, everyone has a slightly different take on what it means to be a highly sensitive person.
One person’s work might connect more with you than another’s, so I thought another post was needed!
Some resources for highly sensitive people and empaths.
Dr. Judith Orloff is, of course, one of the most well-known names in the empath space. Check her out on her website here. I think it was on her website that I first read about how, in olden days, medicine women were often overweight. This tendency to ground with food is something I see in my own life. This year, I want to do more grounding work and substitute false grounding with an actual connection to the earth.
I came across Tree Franklyn last year. Check out her website and blog here. I appreciate how vulnerable she can be in her writing.
I have attended a talk by Dave Markowitz here in the San Francisco Bay Area in a room buzzing with fellow highly sensitive people. A really interesting story he told that day revolved around how he felt drunk just by accompanying some friends who were pub-hopping and drinking. He didn’t drink a single drop! When he asked the audience, a few other people had had the same experience. Nothing like this has ever happened to me, so this felt really interesting. Check out Dave’s work here.
I came across Dr. Divi Chandna recently. If you are interested in developing your intuition, check out her work here. Highly Sensitive People are often also highly intuitive, so she seems like an interesting person to follow.
Denise Dryden is another well-known name in the more alternative empath space. She also talks about the purpose of being an empath. Check her out here.
An interesting person I want to check out more in the future is Summer McStravick. She is most well-known for creating Hay House Radio when she was the Director of Media at Hay House Publishing. Summer also talks about money and abundance. Check her out here.
Michael R Smith is a trained counselor and energy medicine practitioner. He runs an online group course for empaths. Check him out here.
I hope one or more of these people connect with you as a highly sensitive person or an emotional empath. I think everyone has a different piece of the puzzle. So, check out these people.
