Here’s a round-up of upcoming events and other resources that might help you as a highly sensitive person!
Two Upcoming Events for Highly Sensitive People and Empaths.
Melissa Schwartz of Leading Edge Parenting is doing a free online session on February 28 that explores the difference between Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS, the trait that highly sensitive people have) and Sensory Processing Disorder, specifically focused on young children (under 7 years old).
Since a lot of people who are sensitive might get misdiagnosed when they are little children as having Sensory Processing Disorder, this will be an amazing session for parents to figure out whether it’s sensitivity or SPD! Registration is required. You can register here.
The other event I wanted to share is the free Evolved Empath online summit (March 9-13) created by the Shift Network. You can register for it here. It has an amazing line-up of speakers including Dr.Judith Orloff and Dave Markowitz.
Some Coaches and Therapists who work with Highly Sensitive People and Sensitive Children.
I also wanted to share links to some other highly sensitive people I’ve come across repeatedly in the last few years. One of them might be exactly the person you are looking for.
Christina Fletcher is a Spiritually Aware Parent Coach, Energy Healer and a homeschooling mom of 3 children (ages 17, 16 and 10). She offers her support through one-on-one coaching, self-led courses and an online membership program called the Breathing Space for parents. Check her out here.
Imi Lo is an award-winning psychotherapist. She is the founder of Eggshell Therapy and Coaching, where she works with intense people across the world.
April Snow is a licensed psychotherapist in downtown San Francisco who specializes in working with Highly Sensitive Introverts. I came across her work on Instagram first and since then, have seen her articles on different websites. You can connect with April through her website.
Megghan Thompson is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and a Parent Coach/Mental Health Consultant. She has been working with Highly Sensitive Children, teens and their families for 10 years and owns a group private practice in Maryland. Connect with Megghan on her website and check out her free training for parents of highly sensitive children.
